Manage Discounts
The discount section in fleet master allows you to manage all discount configurations, including creating new discounts, editing existing ones, and deleting outdated discount codes. Below is the list of discount settings already configured in the system.
Creating a New Discount
To create a new discount, click on the Create button. The Create Discount form includes the following fields:
- Name:
Enter the name of the discount (e.g., "Spring Sale", "Black Friday Special"). (Required) - Discount Type:
Select the type of discount (e.g., Percentage, Fixed Amount). (Required) - Coupon Code:
Enter the discount coupon code. (Required) - Amount:
Specify the discount amount (either as a percentage or fixed amount depending on the type). (Required) - Start Date:
Set the start date for the discount to become active. (Required) - End Date:
Set the expiration date for the discount. (Required)
Editing & Deleting Discount
You can manage existing discount settings by following these steps:
- Go to the Discount Settings section.
- To edit a discount configuration, click the Edit icon next to the discount entry. Update the discount details and save changes.
- To delete a discount configuration, click the Delete icon to remove it from the system permanently.
Best Practice:
Ensure that discount codes are unique and have clear expiration dates to avoid confusion or misuse.
Discount Usage for Onboarding and Renewal
These discounts are applied during the following processes:
- Onboarding Fleet Data Collection: Discounts can be used when collecting data during the fleet onboarding process.
- Fleet Renewal: Discounts can also be applied during the renewal phase for existing fleets.
Ensure that discount codes are correctly configured to be activated during these phases to maximize promotion usage.

Clear Naming Conventions
When creating new discount codes, use easy-to-remember names for better accessibility by both customers and administrators.
Proper Validation
Regularly validate discount configurations to ensure discounts are applied correctly during promotions and sales events.
Expiration Monitoring
Monitor the expiration dates of discounts to ensure outdated codes are removed or updated in time.

Consistently review discount settings to align with promotional goals and avoid offering invalid discounts.
