SIM Lifecycle Transitions
Learn how SIM cards transition through statuses in Fleet Master—from registration and assignment to return, transfer, and write-off. This guide ensures proper SIM workflow in the system.
Overview
The SIM Lifecycle Transitions page outlines how SIMs in Fleet Master transition through various statuses. These structured transitions ensure that telecom assets are properly validated, assigned, returned, or retired according to business workflows.
Purpose of Statuses
Standby
SIMs enter Standby after validation but before being marked for assignment.
Why It Matters:
- Ensures SIMs are ready and stored correctly.
- Prevents premature allocation.
Ready to Allocate
SIMs marked Ready to Allocate are eligible for assignment to fleets or projects.
Why It Matters:
- Confirms SIM availability.
- Appears in assignment lists only when ready.
